The Specialized Saddles 3D Adjustable Saddle Fitting System is the only system in the world that actually lets you adjust all three dimensions of saddle fit to match perfectly all three dimensions of a horses’ back; the width, dip and angle. Unlike adjustable saddle trees, and adjustable gullets, the Specialized Saddle 3D adjustable fitting system also allows independent adjustment of each side of the saddle. The Specialized Saddle 3D fitting system adjusts with just a snap of Velcro versus the tools and hardware necessary to modify fit with adjustable saddle trees and adjustable gullets.
The greatest advantage of the Specialized Saddles 3D Adjustable Saddle Fitting System is that not only does it adjust the saddle fit, it actually cushions the movement of the muscles of the horse, in a way that enhances a horses’ comfort and freedom of movement. Horses that have asymmetrical shoulders, (as over 65% of horses do) can be fit precisely to each independent shoulder. This way we eliminate saddles that roll to one side, which is often the result of a larger shoulder pushing the saddle over towards the smaller shoulder.
Longer strides in endurance horses and trail horses, and better gaiting, in Gaited horses, is the result of free shoulder movement, achieved by using our adjustable saddle fitting system
Each saddle tree has a full 3” inch range of width adjustment. This is achieved by the thickness or position of the neoprene fitting cushions. Angle and arch are adjusted by using wedge shims positioned between fitting cushions and the saddle tree. Saddles can be ordered pre fit to any horse using measurements from our fitting kit.
